FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining nanodisperse powders of tungsten and titanium carbide by means of a SHS method involves preparation of a mixture of components, which consists of a mixture of tungsten and titanium, which are subject to preliminary mechanical and chemical treatment in a mechanical and chemical activator, carbon material and additive of cobalt or nickel, heat treatment of activated mixture in a burning mode, and further treatment of synthesis products by means of mechanical and chemical activators.

EFFECT: invention allows obtaining a mixture of titanium and tungsten carbides with particle size of less than 100 nm, which are cladded with cobalt or nickel.
