FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: free piston generator of working gases with external combustion chamber and two compressors is designed for feeding pneumatic machines- pneumatic power drives of wheels of vehicles, for pick hammers, sand-blasting machines etc. The gas distributing procedure of synchronisation of motion of compressor pistons in free piston gas generator neutralises vibration occurring at asynchronous motion in counter phase of compressor pistons due to difference of their weight, shape and by other reasons. Motion of pistons of compressors in a counter phase is synchronised by re-distribution of combustion products coming from a general combustion chamber to power cavities of compressor pistons. For this purpose, the system of control tracks values of piston speeds in each compressor, and compares them. On base of received signal of unbalance the system sets gas distributing valves into a position, when dynamic resistance to motion of combustion products flow through gas distributing valves grows from minimal to maximal to the compressor, pistons of which move with speed exceeding speed of opposite moving pistons of another compressor for a time interval required to balance speeds of both compressor pistons. Further, the control system returns gas distributing valves into initial position.
EFFECT: neutralised vibration at motion of pistons in compressor of free piston gas generator with external combustion chamber.
