SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method of DGAT counting. The method involves contacting stable and reproduced micelles containing at least one DGAT substratum with microsomes containing DGAT, and evaluating triglyceride formation in a reaction mixture produced as described above provided micelles contain phosphatidyl serine and phosphatidyl choline. Also, the invention refers to a method for identifying the fact whether a compound being tested is able to modulate DGAT activity, and said method involves contacting the stable and reproduced micelles containing at least one DGAT substratum with microsomes containing DGAT in the presence and absence of the compound being tested, and evaluating triglyceride formation in the reaction mixture produced as described above and in which the change in triglyceride formation in the presence of the compound being tested specifies that said compound is able to modulate DGAT activity provided micelles contain phosphatidyl serine and phosphatidyl choline.

EFFECT: invention allows fast, simply and effective DGAT counting.
