FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electrically insulated channels (4, 7) are made in vertically installed housing (1). Field-emission cathode (8) is installed on metal base (9) in lower part of electrically insulated channels (4, 7). Collecting electrode (5) is made in the form of rotation body and closes electrically insulated channels (4, 7) from above with its inner cavity. Metal base (9) closes electrically insulated channels (4, 7) from below, and the obtained pressurised volume is filled with gas (10) which has negative affinity to electron. Metal base (9) is connected to heat source.

EFFECT: simplifying the design, obtaining direct and impulse current, surface of collecting electrode can be cooled below ambient temperature.
