FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: as per both versions of the method in working gas by means of electric discharge there created are two opposite current-plasma covers, and they are accelerated with magnetic discharge current pressure in opposite accelerator channels. After the channel outlet the section of covers takes the form of parables directed towards the symmetry centre and the apexes of which form hypocycloidal plasma liner with plasma foci. Compression of fusion fuel is performed by the action of magnetic and commensurable value of it velocity pressure of covers of plasma liner, which occurs during braking of covers of plasma nucleus. As per the first version, fusion fuel is plasma nucleus from working gas, which is formed with collided plasma foci. As per the second version, there used is solid-state target of spherical shape, which is placed in symmetry centre of plasma liner. Device for implementing the above methods includes hollow annular electrode and two end electrodes. Those electrodes together with surface of coaxial accelerating electrodes form two opposite straight-line accelerating channels rounded towards the centre of symmetry. Edges of sections of hollow electrodes lie on surface of conditional sphere built between them. Its radius, diameters of edges of flattened end electrodes and distance between edges of side surfaces of annular electrode are equal to each other.

EFFECT: neutron output is improved.
