SUBSTANCE: invention refers to an absorbent product, such as a diaper, absorbent pull-up, sanitary towels, or incontinence panty, with a vapour-permeable protective layer, comprising a moisture permeable coating layer facing a user when in use, a water-proof, however vapour-permeable protective layer facing an opposite side from a user when in use, and an absorbent core between the coating layer and protective layer; said product has a longitudinal direction (2), a transversal direction (3), two substantially longitudinal lateral borders (4, 5), one substantially transversal front border (7), one substantially transversal back border (8), one substantially longitudinal middle line (6), a front portion (9) and a back portion (10) from each side from the substantially longitudinal central line (11); the substantially longitudinal middle line (6) and central line (11) are crossed with each other in a cross point (12) where the presented absorbent product contains at least one monovalent salt of the X⁺Y^- form in the amount 1-75 wt % at core weight.

EFFECT: product reduces the risk of infection and unpleasant odours due to limited growth and activity of undesired microorganisms.
