FIELD: absorbent product.

SUBSTANCE: absorbent article comprising an absorbent core located between a liquid-permeable top sheet and a liquid-impervious bottom sheet, and a receiving distribution layer located between said top sheet and said absorbent core, in which the absorbent core includes an absorbent material selected from the group consisting of cellulose fibres, superabsorbent polymers, and combinations thereof, where the specified absorbent core includes at least one sublayer in the form of a shell containing the specified absorbent material, and where the top layer of the specified shell is glued to the lower layer of the specified shell with the formation one or more channels substantially free of said absorbent material, where said channels have a length running along the longitudinal axis and the absorbent core has a length running along the longitudinal axis, and where the length of said channels is between 10% and 95% of the length of said absorbent core, and where each of these channels runs essentially continuously, for example, from the first end of the channel to the second end of the same channel, where the receiving distribution layer contains spunbond and/or a layer of carded nonwoven material, including synthetic fibres, where said synthetic fibres are contained in an amount of more than 80% by weight relative to the weight of said receiving distribution layer, and wherein said receiving distribution layer has a basis weight of 10 to 50 g/m2.
