SUBSTANCE: system for garment care includes a steam generator (7), comprising a steam exhaust hole (19), and at least one manual device (3) for garment care, comprising a steam inlet hole (31), connected to the steam exhaust hole, a hole (33) for steam exhaust and a device (37) of steam control, arranged with the possibility to control a valve for control of steam exhaust. The device of steam control comprises a selection facility (43), including at least two modes for selection, and a switch (41) of steam exhaust, electrically connected to the selection facility and arranged with the possibility to switch steam exhaust on or off depending on the selected mode. At least two modes provide a user with flexibility in selecting the method he or she wants to use to control steam exhaust of the manual device. The user may select a mode, which is most suitable for an assigned task. The manual device may be an iron interacting with the steam generator, having a steam exhaust hole, or a steamer for clothes, interacting with the steam generator, having a stem exhaust hole.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of system operation.
