SUBSTANCE: invention relates to garment care household appliances. System for increasing the water pressure in the garment care device comprises a unit for maintaining pressure in the system which comprises a chamber for receiving water from the water supply system and supplying the resultant water to the steam generator, and an actuator cooperating with the retaining member. Actuator is configured to displace and load the retaining member when receiving water from the chamber for receiving water. Retaining member is configured to unload and apply force to the actuator after receiving water from said chamber to increase the pressure of water received from said chamber. Retaining member has a stiffness coefficient that varies depending on the displacement of the actuator.

EFFECT: improving the regulation of water flow under pressure from the chamber to the steam generator, as well as providing the possibility of creating the desired steam profile.
