FIELD: garment care.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a garment care system (10) comprising a base (20), a block held in the hand (30) and a sleeve cord (44) connecting the base and the block held in the hand. The base (20) is configured to provide a first control signal (V1) that reflects the operating state of the garment care system. The hand-held unit (30) comprises an output means (36) for providing a visual or audible output reflecting the specified operating state; and a block (38) containing at least one sensor (42) and/or at least one input device (40) for the user to generate an input signal, the level of which depends on the state of said at least one sensor (42) and /or at least one input device (40) for the user. The sleeve cord (44) contains one communication wire (46) for transmitting the specified first control signal (V1) from the base (20) to the block (30) held in the hand for actuating the output means (36) and for transmitting the input signal from the held in the block hand (30) to the bottom (20). The base (20) additionally contains a connecting means (58) for connecting the first control signal (V1) to the communication wire (46) or disconnecting from it, so as to control the output means (36) when the first control signal (V1) is connected to the wire (46) connections. The base (20) additionally contains a controller (25) for measuring the signal level on the communication wire (46) when the first control signal (V1) is disconnected, extracting the indicated state of at least one sensor (42) and/or at least one input device (40) for the user from the specified signal level and controlling the garment care system depending on the specified retrieved state.
EFFECT: improved system for garment care.
