FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in gas turbine engine ACSs. Independent electronic unit (EU) incorporates transducer to additionally control and measure engine fan rpm and engine fan turbine rpm. ACS transducers are used to measure and control engine compressor rotor rpm. If the latter exceeds preset value, ACS generates appropriate instruction to use selector to inhibit control action of EU, while control action of ACS is sent to electronic actuators to control engine operation by ACS. In case mismatch between fan rotor rpm and fan turbine rpm exceeds preset value, or fan turbine acceleration exceeds preset value, or fan turbine rpm exceeds preset value, EU is initiated to cut off fuel feed into combustion chamber and shut down the engine.

EFFECT: higher reliability of ACS operation and higher safety of aircraft.
