FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in gas turbine engine ACSs. Additionally, in engine test bench acceptance tests, engine anti-surge protection is tested as follow. Signal "Anti-surge check" signal is fed to electronic controller to vary engine combustion chamber fuel flow rate. Engine is accelerated to turbo compressor rpm whereat margin of compressor gas-dynamic stability is at minimum (to be determined experimentally and by calculations). Electronic control is used to vary compressor diffuser position toward its opening. Gas dynamic stability margin is reduced unless anti-surge protection operates. Changes in engine and ACS parameters are registered in anti-surge protection operation and reduction of gas dynamic stability using test bench recorders, obtained results are analysed to correct anti-surge protection, if required, and re-tests are carried out.

EFFECT: higher quality of ACS operation, lower costs.
