FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: data processing device comprises power range separator to separate said multichannel spectrum into degenerate spectrum of limited channels. Note here that each degenerate spectrum represents a power range. It comprises also degenerate spectrum computation device to calculate background degenerate spectrum and degenerate spectrum of measurements on the basis of said background spectrum and said measurement spectrum corresponding to said degenerate spectrum of limited channels. It comprises also computation device to calculate power use for calculation of power utilisation factor on the bases of background degenerate spectrum and degenerate measurement spectrum. It includes appliances for detection of maximum values intended for search of peak values in design factors of power utilisation. Besides, it includes the data defining power range for determination of appropriate power range of said gamma-rays on the basis of revealed peak value of power utilisation factors. Proposed method uses data processing device.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection radiation.
