SUBSTANCE: method of damping vibrations of an antenna support caused by wind perturbations as a system with distributed parametres measures the displacement value of the top part of the antenna support and sends the value to a PID regulator which, in accordance with a given algorithm for constructing the transfer function, generates a control signal which is transmitted to a servo-mechanism lying at the base of the antenna support which acts on the system during the entire period of the wind perturbation, thus damping its vibrations from wind perturbations by an order or more.
EFFECT: controlling the antenna support as a system with distributed parametres during the entire period of wind perturbation, which provides high accuracy of the spatial position of the top part of the antenna support and damping vibrations caused by wind perturbations by an order or more.
