FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in structures of tools for cable termination. The method includes formation of circular grooves by compression of the protective shell at the external side, cutting of the protective shell with a disk knife along its circular perimetre between the grooves, separation of a part of the protective shell and its pulling off the cable optic fibres away from the cutting area. The device comprises a body, a slider with a displacement drive, pressing rollers and a disk knife installed on the axis of the slider with the possibility of rotation, a clamp of two clamp rollers is installed in the body. Diametres of the clamp rollers are arranged as more than the disk knife diametre, and their working surfaces are arranged as rounded.
EFFECT: improved quality of cutting.
