FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical diagnostics, and is used for obtaining anatomical information for position mapping of a patient's oesophagus. A catheter comprises a tubular rod having a proximal end, a distal end and a cavity. The rod is provided with an external marking with regularly spaced numeric and linear markers started at a distance from the distal end and specifying substantially equal sections of the rod. A position sensor is mounted in the cavity at the distal end of the rod. A handle is arranged at the proximal end of the rod. At least one electric conductor is provided between the position sensor and the handle and is placed in the rod cavity. A printed circuit board accommodates an electronic circuit for analogue-to-digital electric signal transformation from the position sensor, a microprocessor for data storage and processing acquired with the position sensor is connected to the printed circuit board. The handle is equipped with a circuit coupling for cable connection with an interface user unit. A second version of the catheter differs by the implementation of the sensor fasteners on the distal end of the rod.
EFFECT: provided record and display of the oesophagus position.
