FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, in particular, to dressing of minerals and may be used for extraction of fine and coarse fractions of noble metals in development of ore deposits and technogenic raw materials. Centrifugal concentrator comprises concentrate receiver 15, tails receiver 14, feed branch pipe 17, outer drum 2 rigidly fitted on outer shaft 7 driven by the drive of outer shaft 6, inner drum 1, 10 aligned with inner drum 2 is fitted on inner shaft 3 driven by the drive of inner shaft 5. Open end of outer drum 2 is provided with annular baffle 7 with clearance smaller than that inner drum 1, 10. Annular baffle 7 is separated from the face of inner drum 1, 10 by gap 11. Rippers 12 facing said annular baffle 7 are arranged on the face of said inner drum, spaced apart. Inner surface 1 of inner drum 1, 10 features cross section increasing toward aforesaid clearance. Feed branch pipe 17 is rigidly mounted to feed ore in narrow zone of inner drum 1, 10. Outer drum has holes 8 communicated with concentrate receiver 15. Outer surface 10 of inner drum 1, 10 is provided with spiral ledges that form screw 9 arrange to force ore out from clearance between inner and outer drums toward holes 8. Clearances of both drums 2 and 1, 10 are communicated with tails receiver 14. Drive of inner shaft 6 and that of outer shaft 5 can vary rotational frequency and keep up constant rpm difference. Inner surface 1 of inner drum 1, 10 features taper greater than that of outer drum and smaller than 10 degrees.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and fault tolerance, and reduced power consumption.
