FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of metal strips from melt by method of fast cooling. Melt is released from crucible via nozzle at gas pressure to form film on the main rotary drum surface or melt is accumulated between main and pressure drums. In metal accumulation, crucible is shifted from vertical axis of the main drum towards pressure drum for 0.3..0.9 of its radius. In strip solidification, after passing between main and pressure drums, said strip is fed there between. Additional drum is used to squeeze the strip. Behind additional drum, the strip is formed to make a periodic curve by driving guide rolls in mutually opposite directions and coiled. Proposed machine comprises crucible with inert gas feed channel, main and pressure planetary-type drums, at least, one additional drum arranged below pressure drum at the distance of, at least, two its radii along strip transfer. Said additional drum incorporates independent drive and pressure device.

EFFECT: higher quality of metal strip due to intensified cooling.
