FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of starting up a process in stationary state for producing usually gaseous, usually liquid and optionally usually solid hydrocarbons from synthetic gas, where the said process is a Fischer-Tropsch process, which involves: (i) obtaining synthetic gas; and (ii) catalytic conversion of the synthetic gas by carrying out a Fisher-Tropsch reaction at high temperature and stationary state of total pressure in a reactor in order to obtain usually gaseous, usually liquid and optionally usually solid hydrocarbons; where the synthetic gas at step (i) is mixed with one or more inert gases to form composite stream before catalytic conversion of the synthetic gas at step (ii) in stationary state of total pressure in the reactor, where when stationary activity of the catalyst for converting the synthetic gas is achieved, the amount of inert gas(es) in the composite stream drops; step (ii) is carried out in at least three conversion reactors; the initial partial pressure of the synthetic gas in the conversion reactor is 20-70% lower than pressure in the reactor in stationary state; the start up method with the composite stream of synthetic gas and one or more inert gases is used in at least two, but not all conversion reactors, and the start up method with the composite stream is not used in the remaining conversion reactors; catalytic conversion of synthetic gas already takes place in one or more conversion reactors and all conversion reactors have a common gas recirculation system. The invention also relates to a method of producing hydrocarbons via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis which uses the said start up method.
EFFECT: use of the present invention enables to the initial high catalyst activity, which leads to formation of high-quality vapour and also prevents water condensation in the reactor.
