FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for strengthening surface of item consists in plating surface with solder on base of fast-quenched alloys and in surface processing with flows of high temperature pulse plasma. There is treated an item in form of a rotary body. Also, plated surface is treated in a chamber with flows of high temperature pulse self-pinched plasma. Whole plated surface is subjected to each pulse of plasma. Amount of pulses and their duration are chosen for production of nano structured surface layers.

EFFECT: increased strength and corrosion resistance of items.
