FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device for treatment of burnet gases (BG) consists of inlet pipeline connected to engine, of at least two modules for BG treatment connected to pipeline and of connecting means amount of which is at one number less, than amount of modules. The connecting element corresponds to or at least is equipped with one gate set into one of three possible positions. Here is disclosed the procedure for BG treatment realised in the device. Such design facilitates efficient neutralisation and treatment of BG in separate modules, including the system for BG exhaust which internal combustion engines are furnished with, even at engine idle run and at exceptionally low mass flow of BG. Separate modules also can be accommodated to different loading modes of an internal combustion engine.
EFFECT: design of devices facilitating not only connection of corresponding modules with exhaust pipeline, but also shutting off burned gases flow via other modules.
