FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for jointing, at least, two thin metal sheets together for aircraft structure elements. Joint zone is formed to produce butt joint of metal sheets. Top and/or bottom zone of joint is machined. Metal sheets an/or joint zone are machined to add to adhesion properties. At least, one solid reinforcing element is glued thereto to provide additional path for loading in top and/or bottom joint zones. Width of reinforcing element exceeds that of joint. At least, one solid reinforcing element rests on by its entire surface area.
EFFECT: no need in making cost-intensive reinforcing bulges in butt-joint area.
