FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method of isolating myeloid-like cells of bone marrow is realised by processing bone marrow cells with antibodies against CD44 ( hyaluronic acid receptor), against CD11b or against both, and with application of flow cytometry. After that, positive selection from them of cells, expressing CD44 and/or CD11b, is carried out. Isolated myeloid-like cells of bone marrow can be transformed with the gene, coding therapeutically applicable protein, to deliver the gene into the retina.
EFFECT: obtained cells possess favourable vasculotrophic and neurotrophic activity, when introduced intraocularly into and eye of a mammal.
