FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: there is proposed method for determining short-circuited coils in electrical windings, at which the voltage of varying frequency is supplied to resonance circuit formed with winding of tested electric machine and capacitor of constant capacity, and as measured parametre of resonance of circuit there used is frequency and value of voltage drop on winding, which forms divider with resistor of constant resistance, parametres of resonance circuit of winding is measured and availability of short circuits is judged by frequency maximum of measured parametre.
