FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for formation of large bales of harvested crops. The banding device is installed above the pressing channel on a driving banding shaft and is made of a knotter installed on a support board and a banding string clip. The knotter has a banding needle to feed the string required to band the pressed rectangular bale. There is a slot in the support board to feed a banding string branch to the knotter. Inside the slot there is at least one retention element to limit its width.
EFFECT: banding device ensures reliable formation of knots in process of banding.
