FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural engineering and can be used in vehicles with pressing bales of harvested agricultural mass. Machine for pressing bales comprises a pressing channel for forming a bale in it, and a binding device located on the pressing channel for binding of the two end parts of binding string laid around the bale. In the way of binding string between the binding device and the bale outside the pressing channel the inner holding device for the binding string is located. Two clamping jaws of the inner holding device limit the gap, through which the plane passes which is defined by the binding string laid around the bale. The gap size of the pressing channel through which the binding string passes to the binding device is smaller than the gap size of the inner holding device in its position of the binding string release.

EFFECT: binding device of the machine for pressing bales reduces the risk of tearing the binding string or slipping the binding string from the holding device.
