FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas mixers to produce gas mixes to be used as protective atmosphere in welding, breathing mixtures etc. Proposed mixer consists of two units, each comprising two flow rate regulators, two proportioning chambers and one mixing chamber. Mix components flow into proportioning chamber 1 via flow rate regulators. Regulator rods thrust against rigid plate supported by soft diaphragm between proportioning chambers. Diaphragm displacement in operation equalises pressure in proportioning chambers. Flow rate is adjusted by turning lever 9. Gas flows from proportioning chamber in mixing chamber 2 via moving wall 7 made up of alternating metal and rubber plates wherein holes are bored. Said holes are aligned and feature identical shape and sizes, in rubber plates, exceeding those in metal plates.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of proportioning, expanded range of flow rate regulation.
