FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel contains carbon, chromium, manganese, silicon, nitrogen, iron and unavoidable impurities at following ratio of components, wt %: carbon 0.2 - 0.3, chromium 13 - 15, manganese 0.2 - 0.5, silicon 0.1 - 0.45, nitrogen 0.08 - 0.15, iron and unavoidable impurities - the rest. Equivalent of ferrito-generation Ef = % Cr + 2% Si - 0.75% Mn - 27(%C + %N) ≤ 6, while summary contents of carbon and nitrogen is 0.35 - 0.40.
EFFECT: facilitation of higher characteristics of hardness and corrosion resistance which results in increased service life of medical tools.
