FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly of nuclear reactor includes head, tail, guide channels and central channel. Head includes protective guide device with a plate, which is pressed with central spring, and collet elements. Collet elements have collars on their lower ends and are fixed on guide channels. There is a gap between the above central channel and protective guide device, and collars at least of three collet elements are made so that they interact with plate of protective guide device.

EFFECT: invention allows excluding radial plays in connections of plate of protective guide device with collet elements and maintaining fuel masses in fuel assemblies at availability of side measurement channel.
