SUBSTANCE: invention can be used particularly in designing television cameras in which sensitivity is regulated by automatically changing the accumulation time of the photodetector made from a matrix of charge coupled devices (CCD matrix). The device for automatic regulation of accumulation time, having series-connected video preamplifier and recording unit, as well as a video signal detector, consisting of a first diode and a first capacitor, as well as a first and a second comparator, a pulse duration former, also includes a third comparator and a low-pass filter, and the video signal detector also includes a second and a third diode, a first and a second resistor, a second capacitor and a PNP-transistor. In the recording unit, the time position of the recording pulse coincides with the time position of the "dark level" in the video signal of the photodetector.

EFFECT: design of a device for automatic regulation of accumulation time with high accuracy of regulation owing to elimination of errors when selecting the direction of regulation while shortening regulation response time.
