SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to field of veterinary. Method of ensuring enhanced protection of animal against infection, caused by Lawsonia intracellularis, includes stages of vaccination of said animal mother with vaccine, containing Lawsonia intracellularis, where mother is pregnant with said animal, vaccination being carried out at the second or third stage of pregnancy to said animals, and efficient dose of Lawsonia intracellularis-based vaccine is introduced to animal before animal achieves 26 day age after birth. Method of ensuring enhanced protection against ileitis in piglet lies in carrying out vaccination of sow, pregnant with said piglet, with application of efficient dose of vaccine against infection caused by Lawsonia intracellularis, where vaccination is carried out at the second or third stage of pregnancy, sow being vaccinated thrice, the first vaccination being carried out 50-60 days before farrow with said piglet the second vaccination being carried out 30-40 days before farrow with said piglet, and the third vaccination is carried out 10-20 days before farrow with said piglet.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides enhanced protection of animals against ileitis.
