SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to immunology, namely to veterinary science, and can be used for use of type 2 swine circovirus vaccine. Vaccine containing a recombinant expressive ORF2 porcine circovirus protein of type 2 is used for prophylactic treatment of an animal which has circulating antibodies directed against type 2 swine circovirus by administering a single dose of the vaccine into the animal's skin. Single dose administration involves less than 0.5 ml of the vaccine, and the vaccine is introduced with a needle-free vaccination device. Group of inventions also includes a method for preventive treatment of animal, which has circulating antibodies directed against type 2 swine circovirus.

EFFECT: use of the given group of inventions results in an improved immune response, namely increased antibody production and response duration, with single intradermal administration of the vaccine to a seropositive animal.
