FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a needle which can be used with a syringe for subcutaneous injections, a dropper, and also for any purposes in medicine or industry. A self-locked self-blunt disposable device for fluid transfer contains a needle and a syringe either in an assembly, or separately. The needle is designed in an assembly with at least one of the following elements at least one blunting element, a tubular portion of the needle, a mouth of the needle, a bent portion of the needle, a needle-point. The needle is designed in an assembly with at least one of the following elements a semitubular portion of the syringe, a piston rod, a piston head, a piston extension. When pressed for fluid release, the piston pushes said blunting element further in the tubular portion of the needle to provide closing and locking of the needle point from within the tubular portion of the needle. The invention prevents an accidental unintended contact to the needle point when in use or thereafter to avoid any prick injury; actuating the blunting device and the needle safety mechanism does not require any secondary actions of the user - the safety mechanism which is an integral part is activated automatically.

EFFECT: invention does not require additional training or practice of the medical or other staff for safety device activation; it is cheap and easy-to-manufacture, providing thereby commercial producibility.
