FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to reinforcing material for local reinforcement of element made from prepreg of plastic reinforced by carbon fibers, and to method of its production. Reinforcing material represents a sheet laid in layers, particularly, in area of force application and/or jointing. Proposed material is made from metal foil sheet with surface that features increased roughness to add to adhesion. Adhesive coat is applied on foil surface made from hardenable synthetic resin for insulation purposes and improved bonding with composite material, as well as for sticking to the element in laying. Proposed method comprises subjecting metal foil surface to treatment aimed at increasing surface roughness and adhesion. Then, adhesive coat from hardenable synthetic resin for insulation purposes and improved bonding with plastic prepreg reinforced by carbon fibers is applied on metal foil surface.
EFFECT: improved mechanical characteristics, lower weight, possibility to produce reinforced zones in large-sixe elements from composite materials.
