FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: friction modifier contains serpentine in form of antigorite and kaolin with dispersity of particles 1-5 mcm as mineral components. The composition contains, wt %: serpentine in form of antigorite 0.5-2; kaolin 0.5-3, aircraft motor oil 89-97, castor oil 1-3; boric acid 1-3.
EFFECT: improved anti-friction and wear-resistant characteristics, recovery of worn friction surface during operation of friction units without disassembly due to creation of protective double-layer coating on friction surfaces.
