FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in digital computers in which several tasks are to be executed by one or more processors, in multitasking operating systems (OS) with static priority assignment in the scheduling policy such as Linux. The system call of the kernel scheduling main function is intercepted and control is transferred to OS modules. A list of active tasks in the OS for a pre-analysed period of time is collected. The actual time for executing the current active task is then calculated and standardised, including due to reduction of time of context switches. The list of active tasks is then sorted according to the value of the actual time of execution, and static priorities of the recorded active tasks are assigned in ascending order in accordance with the increasing value of the actual time of execution.
EFFECT: high efficiency of computer systems when executing applications in an OS.
