FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and can be used for objective estimation of endocrine ophthalmopathy activity in order to make decision about tactics of patient monitoring and administration of definite therapy. Multispiral computer tomography of orbit is performed and maximal and minimal densitometric density of extraocular muscles (EOM) and retrobulbar tissue (RBT) are determined. In active phase of disease EOM density varied from minus 45 to +55 UH, density of PBT varies from minus 118 to minus 4 HU. Increase of densitometric density of EOM in the range +56 - +72 UH indicates development of fibrosis. Higher values of EOM density +73 - +98 HU and RBT from 0 HU and higher indicate expressed fibrosis.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine process activity and specify treatment tactics.
