FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises heat-insulated cylindrical working chamber with bottom that has curved inner surface. Pipeline serves to feed liquid coolant into tank, while feed pipeline with branch pipe feeds and sprays initial material. Aligned with the chamber is the mixer incorporating shaft variable-rpm drive. Working chamber features height-to-diameter ratio of 0.6-2.0. Branch pipe incorporates radial-flow nozzle mounted tangentially to imaginary circumference and at 20-70 degrees to horizontal plane to allow varying nozzle inclination and moving it along vertical line.
EFFECT: intensified freezing process in stable production of monosized spherical granules for their sublimation drying and production of ultra- and nano-dispersed powders.
