FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises using a rocker. Note here that prior to drilling, material hardness irregularity over part workpiece cross section along drilling axis. For this, hardness is measured at four diametrically located equally-spaced points of cross section. Then, hardness values are used to develop the model of workpiece material properties distribution. Said model is used to set rocker position in every section and locate its in the area of drill bit. Now drilling to preset depth is performed. Further, prior to every drilling job, rocker position is checked and corrected on measuring workpiece wall thickness along circular surface to define its maximum and minimum.
EFFECT: ruling out drill bit displacement.
