FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply of contact welding machine. Proposed power supply incorporates capacitor to partially compensate for inactive components of 1st harmonic full power. Semiconductor staticcompensator compensates for remaining inactive components. Voltage relay to control connection of said capacitor is connected via normally open contacts of the switch parallel to primary of welding transformer to control said capacitor and semiconductor static compensator.
EFFECT: descreasing of higher harmonic components and reducing consumption of inactive components.
