FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to devices providing energy saving due to improved quality of electric power in 3-phase networks of an enterprise in conditions of variable loads. Device comprises a current sensor module, a voltage sensor module, a control unit, as well as a coarse compensation circuit containing a unit of cosine capacitors and a unit of power chokes connected by contactors to the network and a fine tuning circuit consisting of n switched compensation modules containing cosine capacitors and power chokes. Depending on the nature of reactive power in the network, compensation is carried out either using power chokes or cosine capacitors.
EFFECT: improved quality of electric power due to increased accuracy of reactive power compensation and provision of reactive power compensation having capacitive and inductive nature, as well as increased reliability due to reduction of load on reactive elements.
