FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, mainly to devices increasing efficiency of electric power consumption, namely to devices providing centralized compensation of reactive power and reducing phase shift under conditions of variable loads. In device "hot" redundancy of cosine capacitors is provided, which increases reliability of functioning. Invention comprises reactive power controller 1, reactive power meter 2, controller 5, first, second and third group of cosine capacitors 6, 8, 16, as well as element with smoothly adjustable capacitance 11 and element with smoothly adjustable inductance 12.
EFFECT: improved quality of electric energy and increased reliability of operation due to increased accuracy of compensation of reactive power and reduced load on semiconductor switching devices and provided by three interconnected levels of reactive power compensation, two of which are discrete, and one is analogue, which provides higher accuracy of compensation.
