FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to device to translate processed workpiece and may be used in high-precision process equipment, e.g. for laser processing. Proposed module comprises a base with guides, slotted carriage arranged on said guides, carriage drive made up of linear motor with inductor arranged between guides and secured to the base and armature with windings. Armature windings are arranged in carriage slot while carriage thrust surfaces are arranged in one plane. Armature winding conductors are arranged in said slot in symmetry about said thrust plane.
EFFECT: reduced bending strain plus high accuracy of positioning.
