FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to grinding tools. Composition for abrasive article comprises organic binder, abrasive material dispersed therein, and multiple microfibers uniformly dispersed in said binder. Said microfibers represent elementary threads with mean length approximating to 1000 mcm. Abrasive articles produced as describe above feature higher hardness and impact resistance, as well as higher wear resistance and grinding capacity compared with usually used abrasive tools. Active fillers interacting with microfibers may be used to intensify grinding process.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of grinding.
