CENTRALISER OF DOWNHOLE EQUIPMENT Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC E21B17/10 

FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: centraliser of downhole equipment consists of mandrel sealed on ends and rotating on external surface of case and of spring-loaded dies. In the mandrel there are made cylinder orifices for pressure tight installed rods outside interacting with corresponding dies. In the case there are made channels communicating with cylinder orifices of the mandrel. The dies are spring loaded inwards from removable stops. A wear resistant washer is installed between an upper lug and the mandrel. Surface of the case interacting with the mandrel is equipped with rigidly installed wear resistant insertion. On internal surface of the mandrel there are made circular grooves for lubricating material.

EFFECT: long service and trouble free operation of equipment in open downhole at high axial and radial loads; precise direction of downhole equipment motion at operation; uniform distribution of centralising loads both along length and around circumference of centraliser; elimination of vibrations during operation by rigid and uniform centralising.
