METHOD TO DETECT SPECIFIC ANTIBODIES TO VIRUS RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS OF CATTLE Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01N33/569 A61D99/00

SUBSTANCE: method is intended to detect antibodies to agents of infectious rhinotracheitis, parainfluenza-3, virus diarrhea, mucous membranes disease, respiratory syncytial and adenoviral infection of cattle. The proposed method makes it possible to detect specific antibodies per saltum in a single dilution procedure. For this purpose optimal working dilutions of serums is determined, as well as a positive-negative threshold of reaction, permissible values of optical densities of negative and positive serums, and also diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of the method. Then immune-ferment analysis is carried out. Analysis results are considered to be valid, if values of optical density of negative serums do not exceed 0.150 p.u., values of the positive control are at least 0.439 p.u., the upper and lower limits of the positive-negative threshold of reaction make 0.261 and 0.216 p.u. accordingly.

EFFECT: method is effective, cost-efficient, convenient in use and makes it possible to make preliminary forecasts about herd infection.
