FIELD: medicine; biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention claims method of detecting animals persistently infected with germs of viral diarrhea, a mucosa disease of cattle. Method involves blood serum sampling from 20 animals from herd, newborn to 12 months old, separation of virus RNA from united samples, oligonucleotide primer synthesis, virus RNA amplification in polymer chain reaction, identification of polymer chain reaction products by electrophoresis. In case of positive reaction, fragment of 731 nucleotide couples is detected.

EFFECT: possible application in veterinary for infected animal detection.
