SUBSTANCE: perform the receive or emission of signals of a phased antenna array. Change phase shifts of signals passing through one or more phased antenna array elements. The amplitudes and phases of the signal transmitted or received by the auxiliary antenna are measured. The amplitudes and excitation phases of the elements are determined. In this case, the phased antenna array is located in such area where the emitted or received electromagnetic field form a plane electromagnetic wave. The electrical lengths from the elements of the phased antenna array to the input of the measuring equipment are unspecified, and the aperture plane of the phased antenna array is positioned at an angle with respect to the front of the plane electromagnetic wave. Specify a set of P beam directions with coordinates (us, vs) covering the scope of phased antenna array. In this case the beam directions are located in the scope along the grid. Signal phase shifts passing through the phased antenna array elements are varied by means of phase shifters, setting the phased antenna array beam in one direction of the set and measuring the amplitude Fs and signal ψs phase. Then, the operations are repeated each time setting the phased antenna array beam sequentially in the remaining directions, determining the amplitude-phase distribution (An, ϕn) at the aperture of the phased antenna array by inverse discrete Fourier transform.

EFFECT: accuracy increase and decrease in time for determination of the amplitude-phase distribution in the aperture of the phased antenna array.
