SUBSTANCE: method to establish a channel in a mobile communication system is used for GSM systems, comprising a mobile terminal, a mobile communication switching centre (MSC), a basic station controller (BSC). This method includes development of a table of compliances between a channel identification code (OC), IP-addresses and numbers of ports MSC and BSC. MSC and BSC communicate IP-address and a number of port, selected for a user plane channel from one side, to the other side, by means of data exchange message, containing CIC, and IP-channel is established in the user plane for a mobile terminal. Another method is to introduce an appropriate information element, including IP-address and a number of user plane port, into a message of a control plane. MSC and BSC communicate IP-address and a number of port, selected by one side, to the other side, by means of data exchange message, and IP-channel is established in the user plane for a mobile terminal.
EFFECT: provision of IP-channel use for user plane data.
