METHOD OF HERNIOPLASTY IN CASE OF LARGE AND GIGANTIC POST-OPERATIONAL HERNIAS BY ALCHARYSHKIN Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. 6-8 cm long recess is created in preperitoneal space. Mesh endoprosthesis is placed on sewn peritoneum in such a way that on circumference it occupies formed recess. Mesh endoprosthgesis is sewn to muscular-aponeurotic layer from back forward on perimeter by means of symmetric application of eight "П"-shaped sutures, indenting 6-8 cm from hernia orifice edge. Hernia orifice is sewn by interrupted sutures - first distal angle of hernia orifice, after that, proximal, after which extreme upper and lower previously applied "П"-shaped sutures are tied up symmetrically. Complete symmetric unfolding of mesh endoprosthesis is carried out. Mesh endoprosthesis is fixed on middle line along the entire length of hernia orifice with ligatures passed through muscular-aponeurotic layer. As hernia orifice becomes closed by interrupted suture, successively first angle upper and lower "П"-shaped sutures are tied up, then, after complete closing hernia orifice, middle earlier applied "П"-shaped sutures, located on the right and on the left of hernia orifice, are tied up.

EFFECT: method prevents hernia recurrence.
